Cambridge Pathway

Five elements lie at the heart of Cambridge education: international curriculum, teaching and learning, assessment, international recognition and global community

Active Learning Classroom

In active learning classroom, students play an important part in their own learning process. They build knowledge and understanding in response to opportunities provided by their teacher. Teachers make these deeper levels of understanding more possible by providing learning environments, opportunities, interactions, tasks and instruction that foster deep learning. It helps learners to analyse, evaluate and synthesis ideas.

We design our assessments to be fair, valid, reliable and practicable. We assess what we know to be of value: deep subject knowledge, conceptual understanding, and higher level thinking skills. There are two assessment options:

       • Cambridge Primary Progression Tests (marked in school)
       • Cambridge Primary Checkpoint (marked by Cambridge examiners)
The tests are marked in Cambridge and each learner receives a statement of achievement and a diagnostic report. The Cambridge Global Perspectives assessment is marked by teachers and moderated in Cambridge.
